Emily T., one of my daughter's classmates donated some toys, princesses' dresses and $23 of her piggy bank to buy something needed in Guatemala. She is so sweet!
Here is a video Don took when we went to Guatemala. With Emily's money, we bought shoes and some food for a little girl named Angelica. Her mother Chabeli sells vegetables at the Panajachel market. Chabeli is a single mother with 3 children. They live in a place called Tierra Linda, located on the top of a mountain. They come down in the morning and then they have to go up after they finish selling for the day. It takes them approximately one hour to climb up. They were very grateful for the shoes!
